I am such a book worm, reading snuggled up with the fur-babies and a cup of tea is one of my absolute favourite things to do. It calms me, allows my overactive mind to pause for a moment and become lost in a different world. I'm often asked about the books I read, if I'd recommend them, what I'd recommend, so I thought I'd keep a list on here both of the books I have read and absolutely bloomin' well love and the ones that are currently sat on my rather large Amazon wishlist. All of the links are affiliate links, to find out more about this you can read my disclosure

Books I want to read so that I can rave about them.

Books I have read and can't help but rave about.

Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine - Gail Honeyman

The Book Grief Is Real. I finished Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine 5 days ago, yet the story is clinging to me. The characters have found their way into my heart. A part of me wants to know what happens next in their lives. Another part doesn’t, not wanting to spoil all that this book has brought me. Another part of me is content to make up what happens next.
By far one of the best books I have ever read, I couldn’t put it down. The story line intriguing, intricate and interesting. It made me fall in love with reading all over again. Not content with reading before bed, I found myself waking up and reaching for Eleanor, desperate to know what happened next. I ate breakfast whilst devouring another chapter, lunched over a couple more.

The Muse - Jessie Burton

I really enjoyed the storyline and loved the characters. I have to say, it was never going to be my favourite book - reading it after falling head over heels for Eleanor Oliphant. However, I found the words flow off the pages, my imagination happily conjuring up the images without any force at all on my part.

My Not So Perfect Life - Sophie Kinsella

It truly is every kind of wonderful. So bloody relatable and un-put-down-able. I finished it in record time.

Everything I Know About Love - Dolly Alderton

I cried, I laughed, I absolutely sobbed, at times my heart felt like it could burst with love for all of those in my life and at times I felt so gut wrenchingly lucky to have such wonderful people around me. It is a book I can’t recommend enough, it is also a book I will never lend to someone else in case I never get it back, but one I will definitely be buying as a gift for friends.

The Multi-Hyphen Method - Emma Gannon

“I’ll just have a quick look“ I said to Arthur cat yesterday afternoon. In less than 24 hours I have completely and utterly devoured it. ‘Un-put-downable’ is an understatement. I read it sat on the sofa whilst drinking a cup of tea, stood in the kitchen waiting for the kettle to boil, balanced precariously next to the cats’ dinner bowls as I fed them. I read it in bed, in the bath, whilst lying on the patio floor - I’m in a lie on the floor kinda mind-space right now. I read it whilst opening the door for the cats to come in to bed, whilst brushing my teeth, and even, somehow, whilst putting on my jimjams.
I have a to-do list as long as my arm full of things to research and actions to take. I can’t thank you enough Emma Gannon you have recharged my motivation, kickstarted my inspiration once again and made me feel really rather proud of calling myself a Teacher - Recipe Creator - Writer - Content Creator - Translator - Professional Cat Lady .
If you have many strings to your bow, have allllll of the ideas or are even just a little intrigued and interested in the current professional work world we’re all living in, I highly recommend The Multi-Hyphen Method. (WARNING: make sure you have a free 24 hours because you won’t be able to put it down)
