Wonderful Wednesday #3 | 2017

I wish I could start this Wonderful Wednesday off in the jolliest of ways but I'm struggling. Not only am I off work, on bed rest by doctors orders, (this bloody flu!!) , reading article after article about the current events going on in the world almost makes me feel like I shouldn't write about the happy things. However, I think now more than ever we need to be mindful of the little things that bring us joy. If not now, when? Let's get on with the wonderful, oh and Happy February!

.: Bare feet on clean sheets. There is something so very comforting about your little bare tootsies escaping slipper jail to be met with the softest, cleanest sheets you ever did feel. Or maybe it's just me?!

.: Teaching Conference. Before I fell ill again, I attended a conference for teaching on Friday and Saturday at the University of Barcelona and it was so worth while! There were some very inspirational speakers who really got me thinking. I was hit by an abundance of blog post ideas over the duration of the conference.

.: Happy photos on IG. I've seen some beautifully bright, Spring like photos popping up all over the place on instagram and it has really brightened my day.

.: Good News. A couple of my friends have had great news recently which is resulting in brand new chapters in their lives. I love hearing people's happy news. It really puts a smile on my face.

.: UB buildings and gardens. I adore architecture and although I really don't know much about it, I can fully appreciate it for all it's beauty.

.: A slice of orange in hot water. It's warming and tasty. It's pretty much my go to drink right now.

.: Love Trumps Hate. Through all of the chaos, the news flashes, the heartbreaking news that is flooding our senses right now be it through the tv, laptop, your phone, newspapers etc. The media is also covering something incredible. Something inspiring and motivating. Something that could and most likely will change the future. People standing up for what they believe in, voicing their opinions and saying that they are not okay with the changes going on in the world right now. And I'm okay with that. I'm more than okay with that. These people are making others, like myself, realise that you can and should stand up for your beliefs. Every cloud has a silver lining, and although this is one of the uggliest, scariest storm clouds we may ever seen during our time on this earth, the silver lining is a beautiful, sparkling one full of hope. And sometimes, hope is all you need.
