The End Of Vlogmas

The End Of Vlogmas

Vlogmas was exhausting in every way possible. My camera became glued to my hand, if for some reason I hadn't managed to capture anything remotely vlog worthy by 5 in the afternoon I'd panic. The very last thing I wanted to do at midnight, when I longed to be as snug as a bug in a rug, was sit and edit the day's events into a video that would almost pass for something slightly entertaining. Yet somehow, for twenty five whole days I did. I'm pretty proud of myself. I'm proud that through some of the toughest days I managed to capture a snippet of something good, a sparkle of Christmas spirit or a tired smile at the end of the day. Yes it was difficult, I'd go as far as to say I don't think I'll be doing vlogmas next year and my goodness do I take my hat off to daily vloggers. At first glance it seems easy, particularly if you've made a video or two in the past. All you've got to do is record, edit and upload right? Right.

The thing is, when you're so tired you're actually falling asleep at your laptop as you edit, partly through exhaustion, partly through sheer boredom from hearing the same song over and over again as you try to cut the video at the perfect place, you suddenly realise why there aren't so many daily vloggers out there. It requires a level of self discipline I hadn't realised I possessed. It also requires time and patience. It requires creativity and imagination when you're having a boring day at home, sheer determination to get the job done.

However, that said, I am so happy I decided to do vlogmas, having memories of each December day in the run up to Christmas is priceless. Those moments have been caught in time forever, videos I am sure I will look back on in years to come and be so pleased that I decided to vlog this festive time.

If you have joined my on my vlogmas journey, I hope that you have enjoyed the ride. The highlights for me have to be The Christmas Work Do, Fairy's Kidnapping Revenge and Would I Lie To You?

Here is the very final piece to the jigsaw, here is Vlogmas Day 25. I hope you have had a very Merry Christmas.
