Fig & Pear Porridge | A Proper Breakfast

This week my breakfast's have mainly consisted of curries and beans... real food for breakfast. Non-breakfast food. It's really boosted my energy levels in the morning however come Thursday I found myself pining for a "proper" breakfast. img_3962

I put together this pretty delicious oaty bowl. I'm all for figs at the moment (which I'm sure you've noticed...) and craved a hot, tummy warming meal to start off a very Autumnal day.

Fig & Pear Porridge.

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup of oats
  • 1 Cup of non dairy milk, I used soy milk
  • 3 Ripe figs
  • 1 Pear
  • 1 Tsp of ginger

Method: 

Boil the milk in a small saucepan, add the oats and tsp of ginger. Leave for a few minutes add chopped pear and pop into a bowl. Top with sliced figs and enjoy.
