This week my breakfast's have mainly consisted of curries and beans... real food for breakfast. Non-breakfast food. It's really boosted my energy levels in the morning however come Thursday I found myself pining for a "proper" breakfast.
I put together this pretty delicious oaty bowl. I'm all for figs at the moment (which I'm sure you've noticed...) and craved a hot, tummy warming meal to start off a very Autumnal day.
Fig & Pear Porridge.
- 1 cup of oats
- 1 Cup of non dairy milk, I used soy milk
- 3 Ripe figs
- 1 Pear
- 1 Tsp of ginger
Boil the milk in a small saucepan, add the oats and tsp of ginger. Leave for a few minutes add chopped pear and pop into a bowl. Top with sliced figs and enjoy.
